Robotics & Embedded Systems
Program microcontrollers to read sensors and drive actuators: electronics basics, input and output, control logic, simulation, testing and safety.
- Planned 30 days
- About 2 h per day
- 8 planned modules
This course is in development and not yet available for purchase. The planned curriculum below is a draft and may change before launch.
Overview
A full program in how software interacts with hardware. You learn embedded systems fundamentals, microcontrollers and basic electronics, sensors and actuators, digital and analog input and output, communication buses, timing and interrupts, control logic with state machines and feedback, simulation and testing, debugging and safe working practices. The whole course can be completed in a free simulator; a low-cost hardware kit is optional. The capstone is a sensor-driven system, built or simulated, with documented inputs, outputs and behaviour.
What you will be able to do
- Explain how microcontrollers and embedded systems work
- Apply basic electronics safely
- Read sensors and drive actuators
- Use digital and analog input and output, timing and interrupts
- Implement control logic with state machines and feedback
- Simulate, test, debug and document embedded systems
Before you start
- Basic programming (Python Programming or equivalent)
Planned curriculum
A draft outline of the modules being written. Lessons are not available yet, and the outline may change after expert review.
Availability
This course is not on sale yet. It becomes available only after its lessons, assessments and resources pass Yumeora's review. When published, it is planned to be included in Yumeora All-Access. Price to be announced.
